What we collect

When you create a ClipCore account we store your email address, a hashed password (bcrypt — we never see your plaintext), and an optional display name.

When you submit a video link, we store the URL you provided, video metadata (title, duration, thumbnail URL) returned by the source, the timestamps you select, and the rendered MP4 + subtitle files on our servers.

When you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) receives your billing info directly. We only store your subscription tier, status, and expiry — we never see your card details.

How we use it

  • To run the clipping pipeline you triggered (download → trim → caption → render).
  • To show you the clips you've created when you log back in.
  • To bill you and manage your subscription status.
  • To send transactional emails (password reset, payment confirmation). We do not send marketing emails without opt-in.

Third-party processors we use

  • Stripe — payments and subscription management.
  • OpenAI — Whisper speech-to-text on video audio you submit. Audio is sent to OpenAI's API and is subject to their data policy.
  • Anthropic (Claude) — viral-moment scouting on the transcript text. Transcript text is sent to Anthropic's API.

How long we keep it

Rendered clips and subtitle files are kept on our servers while your account is active. You can delete any clip at any time from your dashboard — this removes the MP4 + SRT files from storage immediately.

If you delete your account, all of your clips, transcripts, and personal data are removed within 30 days.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data or full deletion at any time by emailing support@clipcores.com. We honor GDPR and CCPA rights for users in jurisdictions where they apply.

Cookies

We use a small number of strictly-necessary cookies: an httpOnly auth cookie to keep you logged in, and a session token for billing flows. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
